Using scientific modelling, he argues the reverse by offering the first cross national evidence in support of the argument that military officers are more likely than civilians to favour the use of force. As the most recognizable embodiment of political groupings, it is intuitive to reason that political leaders are key actors in the creation, control and/or culmination of violent conflicts.
Revisiting the political leadership literature The literature on political leadership can be subdivided into four distinct bodies of work. 8 Much of their work focused on the creation and organization of a good society. 9 However, while leadership does not appear to have been the main focus of the study in many classical 24 Political Leadership and the Northern Ireland Peace Process works, a common thread runs through them all which further emphasizes their pessimistic outlook on leadership.
