I attempted to contact the men and a few of their women kin again when I began to write these chapters in the fall of 2008. That was several months after the historic California Supreme Court decision in favor of same-sex marriage and in the midst of the pitched electoral-season battle over Proposition 8, which proposed to amend the state constitution to ban such marriages.
Three Polyamorous Brothers-in-Law Matt and Robert enjoyed close relationships with most of their siblings, nieces and nephews, and extended kin.
