Material Cycling of Wetland Soils Driven by Freeze-Thaw by Xiaofei Yu

By Xiaofei Yu

Freezing and thawing of soils is a typical phenomenon within the winter-cold quarter. The thesis titled “Material biking of Wetland Soils pushed via Freeze-Thaw results” systematically explores the freeze-thaw results at the accumulation and unlock approaches of carbon and nitrogen in wetland soils, that's an exceptional step towards the research of biogeochemical tactics in wetlands in seasonal freeze-thaw components. it's also constructing recommendations aimed toward international warming results at the accumulation and unencumber of carbon and nitrogen in wetlands.

Dr. Xiaofei Yu works on the Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, chinese language Academy of Sciences, China.

Material Cycling of Wetland Soils Driven by Freeze-Thaw Effects

Freezing and thawing of soils is a standard phenomenon within the winter-cold region. The thesis titled “Material biking of Wetland Soils pushed via Freeze-Thaw results” systematically explores the freeze-thaw results at the accumulation and liberate methods of carbon and nitrogen in wetland soils, that's an outstanding step towards the research of biogeochemical tactics in wetlands in seasonal freeze-thaw parts.

Internal and External Aspects of Corporate Governance

An efficient procedure of company governance has either inner and exterior points that experience to be sufficiently responsive if governance is to prevail. during this publication, Ahmed Naciri examines those middle elements or the most recent buzzword in enterprise and administration concept. Internal aspects comprise possession constitution, the board of administrators and committees, inner keep watch over, hazard administration, transparency and fiscal reporting.

Soils of the 0–10 cm, 10–20 cm, 20–30 cm and 30–40 cm layers were collected with three replicates and were analyzed for clay content, total organic carbon, DOC content, NH4+-N content, NO3−-N content and phosphorus content. The replicate soils derived from each site were transported to the lab. We spent about 1 day transporting the soils to the lab. Then we mixed them gently so as not to disturb the soil structure and used to fill six Polypropylene columns (diameter 10 cm, length 50 cm) layer by layer.

However, the results vary widely and some of the conclusions are contradictory, mainly because of different experimental methods. In particular, the temperature and time of freeze–thaw and the season in which the soil samples are collected can have a large impact on the experimental results. In this study, through a semi-simulation experiment in a field micro-area, making use of field freeze–thaw temperatures and time in the spring freeze–thaw period, we studied the dynamic changes in DOC and NH4+–N and NO3−–N concentrations in wetland soil, and in the overlying ice and water, which truly reflect the process of wetland soil carbon and nitrogen accumulation and release in the freeze–thaw period.
