In November 1990 Indo-American Hybrid Seeds (IAHS), one of many greatest and extremely leading edge horticultural organisations of its variety in India, celebrated its silver jubilee yr within the city of Bangalore, India. at the get together of this silver jubilee of IAHS a world Seminar on 'New Frontiers in Horticulture' was once prepared from 25-28th of November 1990 on the Ashok Radisson resort in Bangalore. IAHS was once virtually totally dependable by way of association and financially for this foreign Seminar. Assisted by way of a global clinical Advisory Board, the organizing committee, all contributors of the corporate IAHS, relatively did an exceptional task. i need to thank particularly Mr. Mammohan Attavar (the company's founder) and Mr. Sri N.K. Weak and Electromagnetic Interactions in Nuclei: Proceedings of the International Symposium, Heidelberg, July 1–5, 1986

Nuclear physics is shortly experiencing a thrust in the direction of basic phy sics questions. Low-energy experiments assist in trying out past latest stan dard types of particle physics. the hunt for finite neutrino lots and neutrino oscillations, for proton decay, infrequent and forbidden muon and pion de cays, for an electrical dipole second of the neutron denote a number of the efforts to check ultra-modern theories of grand unification (GUTs, SUSYs, Superstrings, .

Esculentus X 8 . manihot) (Jambhale and Nerkar, 1986) and Selections 4 and 10 (8. esculentus x 8. manihot ssp. tetraphy"us) (Dutta, personal communication) have been developed. Our main objective in the present investigation was fruther exploitation of these alien genes in an intervarietal hybridization programme to improve upon the existing cvs. METHODS At Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar a YVM resistance breeding programme was initiated during 1985 using these varieties as the sources of resistance and simple crosses were made between P 7 and P.

Gibberellic acid (40 ppm) gave the desirable flower thinning and the results of this chemical only are presented in table 2. This treatment resulted in reducing berry number per unit of the lateral significantly over the control. It also improved berry size, fruit quality and reduced shotberries. Mechanical berry thinning improved berry size and quality but the results varied according to severity of berry thinning (table 3). S. 60%) were obtained in the 75% berry removal treatment, but this reduced the bunch weight drastically.
