Step Two: Trace the stick four times and then cut each one out. Step Three: Cover one side of the Jumbo craft stick with Mod Podge and then place one of the cut outs on it, be careful to line it up the best that you can and avoid creases. Step Four: Repeat the process on the opposite side of the stick. To finish this off you can place a clear sticker on yours. I use keys on mine. Any large craft store has a huge selection of clear stickers for crafts so have fun with it and get creative. I always use dictionary paper that is as close to the natural brown of the craft sticks as possible.
You just need to cut four ears out of your material. Your second material will be used as the “inside” of the front of the ear. With this one I am using my leopard print as the ear and the red as the inside of the ear. There is no pattern for this, just cut out half circles from your material. Step Two: You will sew the red inner ears to the fronts of the ears. I simply started at the bottom corner of one of the red pieces and sewed around until it was secure and then knotted the thread. The stitching is up to you, I prefer mine to look messy and eclectic.
Start to wrap the cord, this will take a moment, let the glue get sticky before you move on so you are not trying to hold this part to the plastic as it dries. Step Two: Place some tacky glue in an inch section all the way around the handle. Start to wrap the jute cord. Keep it tight and press it upward so you don’t have gaps showing the color of the plastic under it. Continue to do this until you get to the bottom of the handle. You will have to hold it for a few minutes as the tacky glue starts to set before you cut the jute and let go of the bottom.
